Siberian huskies

Before we start sledding it's important for us that you learn to know more about Siberian huskies and come in contact with them. We will tell about our dogs, because each dog has his/her own character and speciality. Siberian huskies are very sensitive on atmosphere. Therefore a good contact with our dogs before the sledding experience, how more you enjoy the tour together. Dogsledding will be an experience for life if you become a team with the dogs, then they will love to show you around in the white forest.

After introduction with the dogs and instruction how to use the sled  we decide together which tour is the best for that day.  You help to set a harness on the dogs and place them in front of the sled. Here you will experience how eager they are to drag you. You will start your trip over lakes and through the forest where a guide follows to support and for security. By coming back on the farm it's nice if you help to bring the dogs back in their area after thanking them for the nice trip.

Dogsledding experience

1.- Before departure:

  • Instruction about how to drive a sled

  • Information about Siberian huskies

  • Connecting with our dogs

  • Prepare dogs for dogsledding

  • Place dogs in front of the sled

  • Because the dogs are eager to go sledding is the focus on them and you, so no time for pictures. With groups where we go for more than one trip, the other ones can make pictures, but follow the signals/instruktion of our personal to avoid accidents/disturbance.

2.- Sledtour with guide. Some stops will be made with information about the nature here in the north and check if you and the dogs are okay. During the trip are no camera's allowed, during the breaks it's okay. The guide can make pictures/movie during the tour.

3.- Return:

  • Thanks to the dogs

  • Time to make some nice pictures with your dogs

  • Help to bring them back to their cage

Good to know

With us you drive your own sled, only kids can sit on the sled or with special occasions. Driving your own sled with 4 till 6 dogs is a totally different experience than sitting on a sled, you will only smile afterwards! :)

Price

1.500 kr: 3 hour experience, sledding ca 1 hour, 'fika' afterwards

1,750 kr: 3 hour experience, sledding ca 1 hour, Nordic lunch afterwards

2,495 kr: 5 hour experience, 2-3 hours sledding + warm lunch in the forest

Also possible to have a combi day!

2.495 kr: dogsledding (3h), warm lunch on the farm, snowmobile tour (2h)
